A pretty village on the Estuary possessing many narrow lanes, lined with hollyhocks. It is a very good centre for shopping and buying local arts and crafts and has a fine Romanesque church in one of the most spectacular settings overlooking the waves. Just outside Talmont is the Moulin de Fa an ongoing Roman archeological dig and very interesting museum.
